STRANGE TALES: Home

June 13, 2019

Today, we feature a Strange Tale that is currently in production - one weekend of filming has already been completed, and there's a further day of filming still to go. Once completed, we'll be able to take you...

HOME

A young man, dealing with a bereavement, starts to receive strange text messages. Is somebody playing a sick joke - or is there something more sinister at work?

Home is written and directed by Terrance Marshman-Edwards. Terrance holds an MA in Creative Writing from Trinity College, Carmarthen and has had poetry published in Algebra Of Owls, Ink Sweat And Tears, Haiku Journal, and Roundyhouse Magazine. He has performed his own poetry throughout South Wales and further afield for over ten years, performing at the Sherman Theatre in 2004, the Wales Millennium Centre in 2009 and at the HowTheLightGetsIn festival at Hay-on-Wye in 2011. He is also an actor, recently performing in several plays for Monstrous Productions Theatre Company, Peculiar Productions, and Dramatic Moose Productions. Home will be Terrance's first on-screen directing credit.

Ben Percival plays Joshua Flynn. Ben is from Preston, and has had parts in many amateur dramatic plays and belongs to several groups. More recently (in the past year) he has been booked up in advance for plays and has even had a play picked especially for him (Humble Boy by Charlotte Jones) to play the lead, which he was incredibly honoured to do.  He also belonged to a murder-mystery company that would put on shows in different locations for various events. He is incredibly proud of all his unpaid work and the best payment for what he does are the skills he learns and takes with him so he can better himself each time.

Amanda Hunt plays Nina Samuels. Amanda is a South Wales based actor who started to pursue her interest in acting in 2016. She began training with LARCA and is now with The Workshop in Cardiff Bay. Recent projects include a one act play We Are Stronger Together, horror feature Don't Let Them In and a TV movie called Gracemarch. With a love of the unusual, Amanda wishes to work in more horror and genre productions.

Rounding out the cast is Isabelle Rose Burman, playing Emily Maitland. Five years ago, Isabelle took the plunge into the world of acting and has never looked back. Her experiences have taken her both on stage and in front of the camera. In that time, she has worked with multiple theatre companies. Most recently in the past two years Isabelle has performed in a modern iteration of As You Like It for the RSC’s Open Stage and Nikolai Gogol’s The Government Inspector for Russia ’17. She also played Stacey in the world premiere of Abandoned

Home filmed on June 1st and 2nd, with the majority of scenes shot at Terrance's flat. A further day of filming- which will get everything in the can- is scheduled for June 23rd.
