Rhys Jones

Director / Writer / Exec. Producer

Rhys grew up in Pembrokeshire where as a young boy he watched episode after episode of Dr Who with his Mother - it is her fault!From this time he always wanted to work in the Media, and has worked in Television Post Production for the past 10 plus years, working on numerous productions for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, SKY, MTV and S4C. Working across a varied genre of programmes - from Stella, Songs Of Praise, Coal House, Beach Break & Wakestock Festivals. Recently he has been the Technical Supervisor for Avanti Media and now a Technical Lead at Gorilla TV.

Terrance Marshman-Edwards

Writer / Executive Producer

Terrance holds an MA in Creative Writing from Trinity College, Carmarthen and has had poetry published in Haiku Journal and Roundyhouse Magazine. He has performed his own poetry throughout South Wales and further afield for over ten years, performing at the Sherman Theatre in 2004, the Wales Millennium Centre in 2009 and at the HowTheLightGetsIn festival at Hay-on-Wye in 2011. He is also an actor, recently performing in several plays for Monstrous Productions Theatre Company. He is old enough to have watched all of Sylvester McCoy's stories on their first transmission and has a soft spot for them all (even Time And The Rani). Whovians is his first produced screenplay.

Matthew Ford

Writer / Executive Producer

Matthew’s earliest memory is scribbling a short story (two or three lines of illegible handwriting); since then, pen and paper has rarely been out of arm’s reach (Matthew even writing his friends’ English homework).

Having written for theatre, Matthew has had scripts performed at Ignite Festival and Fringe Theatrefest. His work has been chosen for new writing evenings at Battersea’s Theatre 503, Bristol’s Tobacco Factory Theatre, Exeter’s Bike Shed Theatre, Cheltenham’s Parabola Arts Centre and Everyman Theatre, and Whitechapel’s Genesis Cinema.

Whovians is Matthew’s first script for the screen.

Andrew White

Hannah Celyn Griffiths

Writer, Producer, Associate Producer - Series 2 & Christmas Special / Production Assistant - Series 1

Hannah has previously had experience on the S4C show Caerdydd working as an on-set runner and part of the crew. She was involved in over 11 shows at University and was a producer for Southampton University’s Theatre Group’s production of Martin Mcdonagh’s The Pillowman. She believes that an integral part of being a production assistant is team-work which, to her, includes getting involved, bringing food and drink (cookies and tea in particular), and supporting the cast and crew

Born and raised in South Wales, Ted has always been amazed with the way films are made. His earliest recollections are watching old westerns with his grandfather. Ted started his own freelance company, No.37 Media in 2013 and holds a BA (Hons) in Film Production from the University of South Wales. A life-long Doctor Who fan, his favourites Doctors being Tom Baker, Sylvester McCoy and David Tennant and his favourite episodes being The Caves of Androzani and Blink.

Craig Handley

Director, Associate Producer - Series 2 / Camera Operator - Series 1

Merthyr-born Craig is a lifelong Doctor Who fan; having watched his first episode (with Peter Davison) at the age of five. Since 2002, he has worked in both television and feature film production; first with HTV Wales, before working with both BBC Wales and BBC Films; primarily as a production runner, before working his way up to Script Editor and Assistant Director. He has also written an award-winning comedy short film, “On All Floors” which had the (dubious) honour of being played before the James Bond film, “Die Another Day”, when the latter was released in Wales, in 2002. Craig has always been interested in developing his craft as a camera operator and, combining this with his love for Doctor Who, has been delighted to work on Whovians.

Luke Walters

DOP / 2nd Unit Director / Camera - Series 2 & Christmas Special

Luke has always been fascinated with the way in which TV and film were made ever since catching an episode of Dr Who confidential in 2006. After a few years of acting he decided his talents were put to best use behind the camera mainly directing. This proved fruitful when his first short film Defiant in Death, got nominated for best direction in 2013, at Welsh international young people's film festival. Since then Luke has worked for various productions companies all over the UK. Even picking up two BBC Awards for his Sound work in 2013 and 2014. Now a holding a BA Honors in Film Production he works at Media Academy Cardiff as the Creative Videographer and Head of Social Media Development. While on set if he is not found near the camera you can always find him larking around somewhere while taking endless amounts selfies.

Rebecca Sawyer

Series Producer - Series 1

Rebecca’s experience in production management goes back to high school where she was on the crew for many productions both creating scenery and working backstage on shows. This talent was recognised and Rebecca was quickly moved up to Stage Manger working on productions such as ‘Beauty and the beast’ and ‘Les Misérables’. 

 

For the last few years Rebecca has been working on her degree, having graduated July 2014 and settled into her job she was looking for the next challenge and she found us….

Emma Bagnall

Costume Supervisor - Series 1

Emma is a recent Textile design graduate who also has years of experience in creating fashion garments and costumes. She has a keen eye for detail and loves any task or challenge that allows her to explore her creativity.

Peter Phillips

Visual Effects Supervisor - Series 1

Peter has had a keen interest in Visual Effects ever since he watched Doctor Who as a child, mostly Pertwee episodes. From his childhood he has loved creating visual effects and has been self taught. Peter is now in his final year of Visual Effects and Motion Graphics course in the ATRium, Cardiff. Peter has had many notable expereince in the industry. And managed to work on 3 episodes of Doctor Who Series 8. (Forest of the Night, Dark Water and Death In Heaven) Recently he has been working a a short film for S4C, 'Pwyll'.
