So it has been a very, very, VERY busy few months since our last post! There’s a lot to catch up on, a lot we can talk about, and a lot we are not quite ready to fully announce!
So what have we been up to since Summer 2025 and why the long silence?
Well, there’s been a few good reasons! This is what we had going on during the last best part of a year!
Strange Tales:
Over the summer of 2025, we filmed and wrapped the principal photography on Chapter Two.
Written by Matthew Ford & Matthew Fisher and directed by Rhys Jones, the film stars Jennifer Higgins as Lowri, a widow and single mother, struggling with Cardiff’s dating scene. Her late husband was her childhood sweetheart; she hasn’t the first clue about apps or first date etiquette. Chapter Two explores the perils of dating when you’re widowed. Rejection is tough for anyone, even more so when you’ve lost the person you love. Lowri is not just looking for Mr. Right, she’s looking for Mr. Right who understands and accepts what she has been through. The title is a phrase used amongst widows and widowers who have found love again. .
We filmed over three days, across the summer months - a day in May, one in July, and wrapping the film on August 9th, using one of our producers’ homes as Lowri’s home.
The fantastic cast is made up of Jennifer Higgins, Ben Wilson, Christopher Maxwell, Ruby Wilson and Steve Ryan, not to mention a massive ensemble of guest players involved. The film is deep into the final stages of post production - it will be released very soon.
Halloween 2025 saw the release of LOCKED, written by Eleonora Mignoli and directed by Teddy Smith, and starring Angharad L Ford as Kay Starr, Lucas Eisele as Peter, and Rob Murphy as Alfred Wyre.
In the future, Justice is delegated to machines: infallible and objective, these AI dispense fair punishments. Kay is accused by her neighbour of dropping trash on their lawn. It's a civil infraction, and while it was only an oversight on Kay's part, she's charged with a small fine. Kay is about to leave when her hand is locked, and the machine accuses her of murder – of somebody Kay has never met. Her only chance at survival is to prove her innocence, but while the AI begins drawing a net of guilt around her, we're left asking ourselves if she’s as innocent as she looks.
This Strange Tale marked the completion of a number of films we green lit before the outbreak of Covid, so to have this film complete and finally out there is a relief and a cause for celebration for us. The films production took over seven years and went through various set backs - including a pandemic! We are so happy with how it has finally come together. So far it has been picked up by Lift Off Global Sessions, Films That Move, and the LTUE Festival.

Our animated Strange Tale - All Alone, Not by Myself, written and directed by Matthew Ford - went into hibernation due to staffing reasons. But it is back undergoing the long process of colouring and background art. That work continues - and there is a lot of work to be done on this one! It will be the final tale of Season Three to be released. We don't want to set a date for when it will arrive, but it is one of the most interesting projects we have worked on and is shaping up to be very special.
Twinkle 2025 shows.
At the end of 2025 we announced the return of Twinkle by Philip Meeks, the one man show starring Terrance Marshman-Edwards.

One performance was sadly cancelled due to the venue’s roof collapsing! But the show went on to a successful two-night run at Porter’s Theatre,

Again the audiences on the nights gave fantastic feedback and had a fabulous night out. The performance due to take place at Cardiff Theatre Café will be rescheduled for later this year (as the Theatre Café is due to reopen very soon), so keep an eye out for announcements on that!
So what’s next, you ask? Well.... A lot is the quick answer.
The cryptic answer is... We start filming something this summer. The full cast has been signed on, scripts have been written, locations have been found, crew has been sorted out – with our new and old teams coming together. This is why this post is called Production Blog 1 - it will be the first of many in the next coming months.
So while Chapter Two is in the hands of our Sound mixer and composer and All Alone, Not By Myself is in the hands of our artist, we look ahead. Truthfully, we have been looking ahead for quite some time.
An announcement will be coming very soon!
